| | Unbelievable. Okay, let's go in order and start where I left off, at Redland. We had a good show, but only got an 89; a little confused, but the following week we cleaned cleaned cleaned and busted our asses off. Then came last night. Championships. Saturday morning, guard practice went well and we were all excited. The bus was the normal, but we saved our games for the room, because at Southwestern High School, we get classrooms assigned to us, so we played everything in there. It was so cuhrazy and we were ROFL. I was just watching the videos from our games and I notice how atrocious my laugh actually is. Last week, Haylee was making fun of it, and now I know why. Oh jeeeesus. Bahaha. We got dressed, warmed up and went to the gym. Immediately, we all got ridiculously nervous and most of us were shaking while performing; I know I was. We had a lot of bobbles. I can't remember if there were drops, but a lot of things tapped the floor. I didn't catch my teal behind the back catch properly, but my blue, red, and purple sections were great, except for when I think I tripped over my red flag. When we were done and went to put away our floor, Abril and Rachael were crying, all of us were upset. I was angry at first, then when we got to the room, I started crying. We all felt like be failed and knew we sucked. We had no idea what to expect at award. Mr. Hughes and Lisa didn't have much to say, except that there were a lot of bobbles that don't normally happen, which just struck us even harder. When we kind of gathered ourselves, we went to eat and cheered up and watched exibition guard while creaming in our pants until awards started. Rachael couldn't stop bouncing on her toes and I kept swaying left to right. We talked to some of Urbana and Cedar Cliff next to us and also to each other. We were all just so nervous. As the announced reached white guards, the 9 of us put down our flowers from the coaches and held hands. I buried my head in Rachael's back as she dug hers into Abril's. Kyle was shaking, his knees almost gave out. They started at twelfth place and moved up. When they announced fourth and still hadn't said Pocono West, I squealed and was like "WE MEDAL'D!" and Rachael goes "SHUT UP!" Bahaha. Third place, not us. Now it was between us and Mechanicsburg, and the kid Nick from Urbana was like "It's you and Mechanicburg. Just you guys. Oh my godd." And I was like omfggg, tell him to shut upp! ROFL. It was so nerve wrecking. I told Adam, the one behind Nick, that we were going to shit our pants soon and he offered to run up there and cover our pants if we do. <33 Second place...long pause. Mechanicburg with a 92! We screamed but composed ourselves and congratulated Mechanicsburg's White Guard and they congratulated us. Even though we just found our we won, Rachael and I buried our heads again for the score. With a 94.8, Pocono Mountain West won 1st place in the White Guard Division at the 2009 KIDA Championships. Uhhmazing. We were all shocked, excited, some of us crying. When I saw Mr. Hughes and Lisa, I started bawling. Thinking about it right now makes me want to cry. I'm trying so hard not to. Bahaha. It feels so good. We did it. All of us, together, as a team. Morgan, Kyle, Emilie Chapppzzz, Woodman, Rachael, Abril, Haylee and I, along with Mr. Hughes and Lisa. With the help of Terry Tu, Alicia, and Sam Bishop. We got first place at championships. Oh man, I need to stop or I will definitely start bawling soon. I'm going to miss all of them so much. They make me not to graduate. Mr. Hughes, I think, is going to make me cry the most. Wednesday, I'm going to be a mess, bahaha. It's Stadium Review, dinner at 5, performance at 7. Mine and Kyle's last performances. Oh my. Oh my. We definitely need to look up some WGI guard for if not next season, then the season after that. I'm going to ask Hughey for some guard he thinks I can get into, which means I definitely need to practice this summer. I want to learn sabre, maybe I can give Mr. Hughes money and he can order one for me. ROFL. Yess, I think I just might do that. I'm also going to write Lisa and Matt letters to give them on Wednesday with a senior picture. Mhmhmhmhm. :] I made a couple of friends this season in other guard too, such as Sarah from Urbana, Tyler from Big Spring, Anna and Kimmy from Bermudian Springs, and Carly and Lauren from Linganore! I added Sarah, Anna, and Kimmy on Facebook and Carly on MySpace. I got Lauren's cellular number, because she doesn't have a Facebook or MySpace, so I'll prlly text her soon. :] Okay, so that I can write those letters, I need to do my homework! So I'll update again sooonn!
Goodnight!
P.S. Listening to this song reminds me of one of our painting days when Mr. Hughes was singing and dancing to thisss. Bahah, I love that man! :P
Dance, go rush to the speaker that booms. I'm killin' your brain like a poisonous mushroom! |
